Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library targets children from birth to five years of age in lower-income neighborhoods. We facilitate and fund the distribution of a free, high-interest, age-appropriate book to each registered child’s home every month. Unique to Better Basics’ Dolly Parton Imagination franchise, we also equip groups of parents and childcare workers with professional development.
Our goals are to get books into young children’s hands and equip their caregivers to help them enjoy and engage in reading events. In the 2022 - 23 year, 8,243 preschool children were enrolled, and 62,611 books were distributed.
